Joe De Sa is an accomplished guitarist, composer, arranger and author based in Los Angeles, California. Influenced by jazz, rock, pop, classical and his Brazilian roots, Joe began playing the guitar in his mid teens and followed his passion from there on. Playing with local bands and solo artists, while touring and doing studio sessions, the need for a advanced knowledge of music, led Joe to Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, where he graduated with a degree in Professional Music in 2000. Since then, Joe has collaborated in projects alongside artists such as Britney Spears, Leann Rimes,Tina Turner, Vinnie Colaiuta, Michael Breker, Barry Manilow, as well as producers Desmond Child (Kiss, Bon Jovi, Aerosmith) and John Shanks (Melissa Etheridge, Alanis Morissette, Fleetwood Mac, Celine Dion). His latest endeavor, the web based music library BrazilRiffs, was launched in the summer of 2013. The library features bass and guitar riffs for composers, producers and enthusiasts who seek Brazilian style sounds for their projects.  Joe's credentials also include publishing two successful guitar books, “100 Ultimate Jazz Riffs for Guitar” and “Ultimate Latin Riffs” through A.D.G. Productions. An active guitarist in the Los Angeles local scene, Joe also tours nationally and internationally with a variety of artists and music styles. He is currently producing music film and video, songwriting, performing locally and leading the world music group Lua Blanca.
